Update: Doing very well... on my bicycle almost everyday with very little pain or discomfort. We are working on strength training and endurance, as I could easily take a couple naps a day, and still sack out at 9:30 or so. Still a bit hazy do to the meds I took recovering from the surgery, working them out of the system.

All in all, not bad. We are beginning to work on the next career, and looking forward to my first partial pension check, as well as my annual leave and comptime check. Let's see how long it will take to complete my retirement calcs and get my full retirement! Again, thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.
    Official Retirement Date: 06-31-2014!

Sounds good SP. OPM is a lot faster now than they were 4 years ago, took me 10 Months. You should get the Annual leave money pretty quickly only took me 7 days.

Skypilot, I nap daily and go to bed by 9:30am and wake up when I wake up. Retirement is grand.

I retired Jan 11, 2014. I was finalized in Feb and received first full check Mar 1. BOP was quick on the annual leave. Got it with the next pay period. My NFC account was active still and I was able to log in and print of my LES for the Lump Sum.

SP, Glad to hear that rehab is going well. Hopefully you will start seeing your checks soon. It didn't OPM to long to get me all straightened out. Good luck.
May the force be with us.
