Sky continues in ICU, Respiratory status seems to slowly progressing favorably, but the Hi-flow nasal cannula today was not strong enuff to get 0 2 deep enuff,so back to the Bipap. CPM for knee continues working his new joint... Lab & more test in the morning... His wife commented is most appreciative of tsptalk prayers.

All my best wishes for SkyPilot’s recovery.

I cannot help being concerned about a trend I see over and over.

Make sure I have this straight. SkyPilot went in to the hospital for a knee replacement. That was successful. According to the hospital.

He developed a “sudden respiratory destruct”. Was this aggravation of a known problem or a suddenly developing new problem?

I have known many people over the last few years who went in to the hospital for an operation and developed “unrelated medical conditions”. Some died. I see a trend. You may think I am paranoid.

    Again, best wishes or SP.

    PO

Yes Pat, thanks for keeping us up to date. I'm sure he will be OK, he works for the Big Guy and he's watching out for him.

I do pray in my own way for a speedy recovery for SkyPilot. I realize now that my opinions about the trend I think I have seen did not belong in this thread. My apologies to SkyPilot, his friends, loved ones and anyone else reading this.

Skypilot got out of ICU this afternoon - apparently still has need of the Bipap, at least at night. continue the prayers for lungs clearing of any residual fluids, for muscle mass
& bone strength returning to normal, and, of course, that fancy knee joint...!
