    Hello-
If you signed up for the email alerts but have not been receiving them, it may be your ISP blocking it.
Beloware instructions on how you might be able to get it working. If you are new and are just signing up, you should receive a "Welcome" email fairly quickly. If you don't get it, you should also follow these instructions....

Assumingyou would like to receive these communications, you cansend theletter below to your ISP's customer support department.

As you may know, Constant Contact powers the email communications I send. When you receive a response from your ISP, please forward the response email to the following address: ops@constantcontact.com. The Ops Department at Constant Contact will follow-up with your ISP once they receive your email.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Draft Message to Your ISP

    To: ISP Customer Support
    Subject: Remove Constant Contact Block

Hello. My name is XXXX and I have been a customer of your services since XXXX. I understand that you have spam filters in place to protect customers like myself from unsolicited email; however, this blacklist has made it impossible for me to receive newsletters, announcements, and promotions that I have subscribed to receive. I value these communications and would like to receive them using this email address.

The sender of these emails uses an email marketing service called Constant Contact. Constant Contact is not an open relay and has extremely strict anti-spam policies in place. Because you block emails from Constant Contact I am unable to receive these communications.

I ask that you remove the block on Constant Contacts mail, or add them to your white list. For further information about Constant Contact you may contact the Ops team at Constant Contact - postmaster@constantcontact.com.

I also have about a half dozen email addresses that are getting put in the Non-existent address bounces folder. I assume these are addresses where people mistyped their address.

Remember, if you didn't get a "Welcome" email right away, you may need to send the above letter to your ISP.

    Thanks,
    Tom

For AOL members, and most likely other ISP's, you may have yourspam settings set to block any email which contains a link to a website. You'll have to turn that off as my email alerts will have a link to the current market comments.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I'm seeing a lot of email alertsfrom the army email addresses (@us.army.mil) going undelivered. Your email must be getting blocked on your end. I'm not sure what to suggest except to use another email address if you have one.

    Sorry,
    Tom

Also, anyone with a Road Runner (.rr) email address is not getting through. They must have some tough spam controls because almost every one of them is being blocked. I would suggest sending the abovemessage to your ISP.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Tom thanks for the E mail alerts. Please remove vectorman from your list to receive E mail alerts. I look at yoursite comments alot, so please save your money for someone else. Thanks.

Thanks vectorman. Since the emails are not linked to your message board userID, I don't know who to remove. The best way to unsubscribe to the email alerts is to click on the "Safe Unsubscribe" in the email itself.

    Thanks!
    Tom

    Hi lmorgan -
When you say you didn't receive the comments, do you mean the email alert? If so, I'm curious which ISP you use (AOL, earthlink, comcast etc.?). Some ISP's will block these emails because they think it is spam. You may have to contact them and ask them to stop blocking them. See the first post above.

    Thanks!
    Tom

Tom, I followed Spaf's move last weekand did the `safe unsubscribe' also. I check in everyday, so didn't/don't need them. So that is three of us, publicly, anyway.
