    Default Contrarian Sign?

Today (3/02/09) I posted a poll on the home page asking what type of fund you would want to see the TSP add if they added just one fund.

It's early so not many votes have been tabulated, but so far 0% said real estate. A year or two ago, that might have been as high as 50%.

    Gold / Metals 45%
    Real Estate 0%
    A Bear Fund (short) 17%
    Oil / Natural Gas 19%
    Commodities 6%
    Other Stocks option 8%
    Other 6%

That could be an interesting contrarian sign for a long term investment. Just a thought.

IYR, the Real Estate ETF, is up 40% since this post. Gold is pretty much flat. We should do these polls more often.
