My wife and I, along with a couple of other family members are considering buying a cabin in Colorado to use a few weeks out of the year and renting it out for the rest of the year. A few years ago, while visiting the smoky mountains in Tennessee, we rented a cabin that was managed by a vacation cabin rental company which took care of all the reservations, collecting the rental fee/deposit, cleaning and repairs. Does anyone have experience in renting out a vacation home that would shed some light on the pros and cons of doing something like this?
