C fund is made up of the biggest S&P 500 companies and because they are constantly rejecting and adding some, it does better then the DOW. S Fund is made up of the other half or smaller companies. Smaller companies are doing great because they are very competitive!

The C fund is the S&P 500. The S Fund is the Wilshire 4500. Together they represent all America stocks. The S&P 500 is roughly the 500 largest of those stocks, the Wilshire 4500 is all the rest (and although it is still called the Wilshire 4500 it is made up of about 5300 stock I think). The S stands for Small Capitilization Stocks but actually many of those stock's market caps have grown quite large (just not large enough to break into the S&P).

    Muddy enough for you.
