I have some private investments that I would like to rollover into TSP, but have not been able to get the correct information. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Download this form and it has all the instructions on it.

You submit this TSP Form 60 to the TSP Office in New Orleans. You can also get more info at (504) 255-6000.

Since I was retiring, I decided to rollover my IRA from my private account into the my TSP. I did this because I would have to wait until 591/2 to draw from the IRA while the TSP will allow you to withdraw without penalty as soon as you retire at 55 or in my case 57.

I did a direct transfer. If you rollover, you are taking the money our for a period of time before redepositing it in the TSP. Form TSP-60 is the correct form and I downloaded everything from the TSP website. Also, everything is done by mail and it took me about 3 weeks before it appeared in my account.
