I'm confused, are you just blatantly post-whoring or trying to break the record for the most one-line threads created?

Intel, what they're trying to say is that perhaps you could spend more time reading and learning what threads are already started on subjects that interest you. Talk in established threads when you have something relevant to subjects already started, instead of starting new threads. Only start new threads for something that hasn't been talked about already. A suggestion that would reduce the annoyance factor.

Intel, people were telling you the other night that you were saying similar things in more than one thread in the same day, that you needed to pick one thread and stick with it if it related to what you wanted to talk about subject-wise.

If you really do have a new topic, then its okay to start a new thread, but use some facts-not just opinions, to start the conversation. bring some new information (not just opinion) to the table especially if starting a new thread, and figure out if there is a subforum that the topic might fit under first also. don't have to do the factual thing constantly but just slow down a little on starting new threads, ok? spend more time listening and considering whats already being talked about in the existing threads for a bit. Are you here to learn from others how to manage your retirement better? You can learn more by reading and listening and then asking questions about what other people are discussing that you might not understand. There are many many knowledgeable and very financially-competant people here, you can learn much by paying attention.

TSPtalk is not a political conversation site, for one thing-if you want to talk political angles (partisan politics) and how they may affect our retirement system or just the economy in general, check out the BeltwayTalk-its the link at the bottom under Miscellaneous labelled political forums.

Mr alevin: Thank you for your remarks about creating a double Threat about trend by mistake, I apologize. However, the fact is that you have created 27 Threats and 2245 Post; 10 Threats and 2173 Posts more than me. Let be clear: I am not in competition with you at all in creating Threat or Posts. Please practice what you preach… "(to start the conversation bring some new information (not just opinions) to the table especially if starting a new thread, and figure out if there is a subforum that the topic might fit under first also. don't have to do the factual thing constantly but just slow down a little on starting new threads, ok? spend more time listening and considering whats already being talked about in the existing threads for a bit. TSPIntel... you would do well to pay head to Alevin's counsel. It's not that hard, and your offerings are welcome if you abide by the expectations and general rules of courtesy enjoyed by the many who participate here.

Alevin is not your enemy, and is just trying to help. However, anticipate more and more supervision if you discount sound advice.

    ....
Rep points for both Allie and Sky Pilot. New folks to the MB are always welcome, and the ones who listen to good advice from people who have been here for a while can learn a lot. Folks who don't listen, well, they don't seem to fit well with the rest of the MB.
