But my question is, will he be able to do what is necessary to actually make the markets rock, or will he just keep artificially inflating the market?

Cut government spending (get their house in order), quit working against businesses so they can grow (and therefore create jobs), and quit beating up the working americans so they can spend their money vice horde it cause their scared (and therefore spend more at businesses, who grow, and create jobs)???

    Just a thought

There is a "myth", if you would like to called it like that, the pre-election year is usually bullish so the president may be re-elected. Some administrations create bubbles, others do good to the economy, and others do both. So far the Dow had moved from around 7000 minus to 12000 plus.

Meanwhile middle class is spending more and more and more on food and gas-the essentials. margin compression for businesses about to become even bigger cost-push for everything else.

wages not increasing either. spare cash not being spent? not so much. Oh, and my flex savings account for this year? 2/3 already decimated from one little broken arm-and phys therapy still to come. Haven't even seen my GP or dentist yet this year. FSA account will likely be drained by mid-year.

oh yes, and the unretired boomers and genXers are trying to save for retirement too-insufficient savings and stagflation tsunami looming bigger and bigger. 2012-2014 here we come (bottom of 120-year cycle).

It seems that it is going to be a challenge for the administration to take the market (DOW to 13000 plus) this year. How much do you think the DOW will be by election next November? How much do you think the DOW must be so the present adminstration may have a chance to be re-electred?

How much do you think the DOW needs to be so the present adminstration may have a chance to be re-electred? If the administration does not find the catalyst to create JOBS BIG TIMES and make a miracle to this economy that it is moving toward recession/depression they are going to be packing soon... and it would be an ease walk-in for the GOP.
