PessOptimist's Account Talk
Finally decided to try this. Have been sitting in G since March when I went on vacation. Missed the whole rally. Didn't do any IFT since I refuse to do it on public computers (here or at tsp.gov). Been too busy since I got back.
I am curious about how many of your accounts here actually follow your real world accounts. Is that the spirit here or is it just a contest to some?
Antway, here goes and now I need to decide when to get back in.

I can't speak for the others but if I post a move, I did the same in my real world account. I'm here to learn share info and make a profit for retirement. Welcome to the party!!
Re: PessOptimist's Account Talk
My tracker doesn't match my real world account because I haven't been posting my <1% moves. I'll probably start posting them from here on out.
Re: PessOptimist's Account Talk
Both of mine are now the same, i kept 25% safely tucked away in the G,with the big rally i finally moved it all in.
I think alot of members real/tracker accounts are different, simply because inside everyone is a need for a safety net. Just in case they guess wrong or the bottom falls out. The tracker IMO is a..... If I could... this is where my money would be tool.
Re: PessOptimist's Account Talk
Welcome to the MB. Just like JB45 the tracker shows what moves I make in my real TSP account. The only difference is that it does not follow deposits into my TSP account so the YTD numbers are off a little bit.

For allocations would you make a change as if you did an IFT? And when you do <1% can you enter that? When I created the account I was only allowed to enter whole percentages. Guess I need to read the rules again and experiment with it a little.
Re: PessOptimist's Account Talk
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but on the tracker you lost 100% today. I didn't think that was possible....

Just like yout TSP account when you make a change to your tracker IFT percentages you can only use whole numbers. The <1% option allows you to balance your TSP account and again you can only input whole numbers. These whole numbers you would transfer to your tracker IFT page. To the best of my knowledge the tracker does not readjust your percentages like your real world account does. It maintains the whole numbers that you put in the tracker IFT. If you go to the <1% account and pull up the last page the option move is explained.

Just checked today and I made 100.11% so far this month. A sure prize winner.:cheesy:
I suspect it was because I just started or else some kind person looked at it, shook their head and fixed whatever I did wrong. Either way I still need to get out of the Geerage.

The C,S,I, funds are all screaming buys - the panic is over. If you want to make your money make more money you simply have to step up to the plate.
Re: PessOptimist's Account Talk
Just wondering, how do some of you find so much time to post at work?
I'm not even allowed to log in.
Been sitting where I'm at because I'm frozen by indecision and cannot make any moves before noon anyway cause I'm at work.

You can do an IFT using your personnel cell phone.
