The Oldies But Goodies Network
As we grow older, we sometimes forget about great songs that make us think of a past experience or era unless we accidentally hear them on the radio or in a movie or something. Maybe you'll hear it here. Feel free to post ones that mean something to you. Stop and smell the roses.....................

Re: The Oldies But Goodies Network
It's funny how songs move along generations and are still favorites. Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond (1969) is an OK song and I don't turn it off when it comes up on the radio and no it is not part of my playlist. But the reason why I bring this up is when my daughters were in High School 1996-2003 I would take them to the Father/Daughter dance every year. Every year this song was requested near the end of the night and every girl would sing that song. Maybe it was more of a tradition than the fact they really liked or understood the song. But that was one song the DJ had to play.

This song makes me remember my clubbing days back in the 80's. Of course, it makes a lot of people think of the movie "Napoleon Dynamite". I had it as a ring tone for awhile a few years back......

Hmmmm...I like reliving with old music too...
I hope your thread and Youtube posts don't get moved to the MEDIA/VIDEO section, like mine were.
I'll probably get banned again for a month for even mentioning it.

I was disappointed when Tom moved your thread to Media Section, also. I complained a few times, but Tom basically told me...." too bad, too sad, it's staying over in the Media Section." :cheesy:
That was a really popular thread...more people participated and posted songs they liked. I don't think anyone ever views, or posts over there.... I know I don't anymore.

No matter what function you were at, a wedding, a school dance, or a club...everybody jumped up and started to dance, even the white boys. :D

This is probably my favorite hair band song of the 80's. I actually have it in my CD player in my truck right now. You have to listen to it LOUD to get the full effect. ;)

I think it's time to move it back. I thought the Media section was going to be a good idea; well organized and a place for comments under each specific video, but it may be too hidden to be useful. It may serve the stock market related videos well, but you were right, it may best to keep the music videos in the lounge.
I see some of you have forgotten how to insert a youtube video... http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/lounge/661...tml#post197703
Re: The Oldies But Goodies Network
I can't find the thread that Buster started in the Lounge.
Do we start a new one? And, there was a World Music thread that James started. Is that gone ?
