    As a liberal, I don't disagree with the article's premise. However, I don't believe that anti-intellectualism is anything new. I grew up in the Midwest as a Catholic and my parents constantly referred to intellectuals as egg-heads and communists.

    Off topic comment. What a bad design for a site. The font was tiny and the large bold colored ads on the side make it tough to read.
