George Noory from 'Coast to Coast AM' had a piece on this Superhighway last week. It was pretty informative. I had never heard of it until then. George always looks past the company line when he delivers his message.

I was looking for where Coolhand puts his Stratfor links, couldn't relocate so decided to post here. Pretty interesting update on Turkey and strategic energy-economic alliances that could go either way at this point. I was just looking at the fundamental stats for the Turkey fund ETF yesterday thinking looked pretty interesting right now.

The Uganda bombings aren't the scale of natural & Gulf disasters that we've been experiencing, but IMO, have the potential for possible greater effect on world's markets - especially when linked to the passion in World Soccer tourney's (likely these bas**rd's dersired effect). I would have expected greater european effect today. Maybe tomorrow?

Sarkozy announces French financial transaction tax

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has announced plans to introduce a tax on financial transactions.

The 0.1% levy will be introduced in August regardless of whether other European countries follow suit.

The tax is part of a package of measures set out by the president to promote growth and create jobs.

"What we want to do is create a shockwave and set an example that there is absolutely no reason why
those who helped bring about the crisis shouldn't pay to restore the finances," he said.
