Yes, your TV really is watching you... and reporting your habits to advertisers - NaturalNews.com

Vizio is one of the most popular makers of "smart TVs," but buying one may not be a very smart thing to do. That's because Vizio Smart TVs are designed to track your viewing habits so that the company can sell the information to advertisers – along with your IP address – who in turn can use that information to gain access to your home network. And what's even worse is the fact that these tracking features are vulnerable to hackers.

It seems more and more everything about us is going to be known by somebody or some entity. Eric Schmidt said some young people will be having to change their names to try to hide current behavior. With corporations acquiring in depth knowledge of our likes, dislikes, locations, activity, friends, images, etc. we can be manipulated to buy products and services. At least there we can resist if we want to. The hackers will have evil intentions of course.

And we have the NSA data storage center that will hold information for the government's use....no resistance possible. And now, apparently, we have a new proposal by the CFTC regarding trading systems code, and this opinion predicts a "huge problem" Government Demanding Source Code by CFTC Rule | Armstrong Economics

    That's .... unbelievable!

I'm going to post this in the *Support....Police State forum.

    Wow!

And we're just standing idly by, right alongside the numnuts who are always exclaiming, "I have nothing to hide...what's the big deal?"

You can have my source code when you pry it from my cold, dead, left hand. My dead right hand will be holding my gun.

Ever see the show Person of Interest? Its about a guy who built a computer system that uses basically every camera and microphone (traffic cameras, webcams, cell phones, etc.) to monitor everyone to predict acts of terror before they happen.

Yeah, I watch it. Great premise.

I suspect the NSA is attempting/doing something similar with anything that is connected to the interweb. (Windows 10, etc.)

U.S. Case Reveals F.B.I.'s Demands For User Data

    Source: Blouin News

It has been public knowledge for some time -- even more widely-known after the Snowden leaks in 2013 -- that the U.S. federal government uses national security letters to demand user data from companies. But over the past couple of years, more details about how exactly the government extracts this data have come to light. Most recently, ZDNet reported that a specific court filing pulls back the curtain on how the Federal Bureau of Investigation goes about demanding access to user data.

A statement released Monday from Nicholas Merrill, founder of internet provider Calyx Internet Access, revealed that the F.B.I. has used its authority to force companies and individuals to turn over complete web browsing history; the IP addresses of everyone a person has corresponded with; online purchase information; and cell-site location information, according to ZDNet. All of these items can be obtained without warrants. The news outlet quotes Merrill:

"The FBI has interpreted its NSL authority to encompass the websites we read, the web searches we conduct, the people we contact, and the places we go. This kind of data reveals the most intimate details of our lives, including our political activities, religious affiliations, private relationships, and even our private thoughts and beliefs."

The decision document from Yale details how in February 2004, an F.B.I. agent served Merrill with an NSL which was accompanied by an attachment listing the types of records the F.B.I. sought from Calyx. Under the Patriot Act, the F.B.I. can issue NSLs — “a type of administrative subpoena requesting ‘subscriber information and toll billing records information, or electronic communication transactional records’ from a wire or electronic service provider.”

Just wow, not only that, but can you imagine certain agencies using that source code to fund their agency ops-the off-the-books ops we're not allowed to know about anyway?

ahh, but if they get everyone's trading sourcecode, then they don't have to hide funds already buried in the budget elsewhere or sell arms or drugs under cover of darkness, they can just frontrun all the traders and get new monies that way in addition to the old ways.
