    Default Pay!

What is the most important thing about any job?

I think that what your salary will be/can be is an important factor for anyone, and in this day and age knowing the “retirement package” helps. I would hopefully assume that most active duty would know of this information, but then again, I’ve been proven wrong. The following links should be of importance to the active, reserve, national guard, retirees, and beneficiaries – and of course anyone who is interested:

Military Pay Information (from the official source “Defense Finance and Accounting”)

    Main page:
    http://www.dfas.mil

Pay charts (that includes previous years – all the way back to 1949):
    http://www.dfas.mil/army2/militarypaycharts.html

Retired pay information, combat-related special compensation, and survival benefit plan are just a few items that can be found here:
    http://www.dfas.mil/retiredpay.html

There is a lot of information at this website. Check it out!

    One more helpful link:

For those of us who are "gray area" Guard and Reserve retirees: (Retired Reserve)

Here is the link to the calculator for retired pay for when you turn age 60:

    James,

I have not explored that part of HRC extensively (Reserve), thanks for that information, since we do have many Reserve Soldiers who are called up to serve with active duty this will be something we can share across "The Army".
