And the taxes needed to support such a plan, heard this song before...

Trillions of reasons why a ‘huge storm’ may be looming for investors, in one chart
MW-GK016_brad_20180529122401_NS.pngBrad Lamensdorf, manager of the AdvisorShares Ranger Equity Bear ETF HDGE, -0.74% warns this market could be about to get “nasty” for the bulls.
“How much credit is out there, borrowed against stock portfolios? Trillions of dollars,” Lamensdorf said in a report co-written with John Del Vecchio. “As interest rates creep up and more portfolios have been used to finance asset purchases, a huge storm can be created if stocks and bonds take even a minor dip.”
As the old saying goes, you can always buy a boat, but you can’t always sell one. “Shedding assets when everyone else is feeling pain leads to terrible deals for the seller,” Lamensdorf wrote, adding that we may be reaching a tipping point.

My question is, why is a sitting US Congressman serving on the board of a foreign company that also trades over the counter in the US? Obviously I'm no expert but that appears to be a conflict of interest for starts. I don't see any issue of owning the companies stock. Sure seems coincidental that his son got rid of a lot of stock just before it tanked. Hummmmmmm!!!
May the force be with us.
Another politician who's also a crook. Lucrative board of director jobs would seem to be the logical path for ex-Congressmen and women. But, a sitting Congressperson should be prohibited from such a position, whether it's a foreign or domestic company.
I agree Khotso. He's a criminal, and should do jail time along with his co-conspirators.
Unfortunately, more D.C. politicians than anyone cares to admit will become wealthy while in office. Some of that enrichment is totally legal (according to the laws they write themselves to govern Congress), and some of their dealings are shady at best (but again, legal according to the laws they write themselves to govern Congress). What pains me is that only a very, very small percentage of the illegal activities of sitting Congressmen and women ever see the light of day. Those instances where any of them are charged with any crime are even more rare. You don't have to look far to find shining examples of corruption among our elected officials. A sad state of affairs.
