That's right. I have requested an interfund transfer as late as 11:58am. As long as it's done before 11:00am central time it will usually take effectafter COB for that day. I have never had a problem, as long as I was able to request the transferbefore 12:00am est for my area. Some have had a problem. For example, there was a period when the automated system was either missing or delaying action from individuals whose social security number ended in a 8 or 9.I haven't heard about any repeats of that problem, should be fixed. The biggest problem that I have encountered is not requesting a transfer early enough to avoid a system overload from the thousands (or hundred of thousands ) who request from 11:40am to 11:59am. ie Tom, announced a last minute transfer at 11:44am...boom..the system collapsed from all his followers trying to get in at once. LOL. Another problem is if you take to long once the transfer window is open, to make your change. The request may time-out and not go through. Once you click on the submit button, make sure you get the confirmation page that should pop up aftersubmitting your request. Hope this helps.

On the excel worksheet to track my returns, should I put S at 12/15/2004 or 12/14/2004?

I thought that when I do a transaction after 12:00 pm ET, it will automatically be effective the following day...

You would put 12/14 onthe 100%G fund allocation line with the 12/14 closing share prices. Then start a new line with the 100% S allocation. That's where I put "Current Pos". Then you update the that line everyday with the new prices until you make another change.

I will be. It is just saying you will get the 12/14 closing share prices at the end of the day for your new allocation.
