    Smile Lobo's Account Talk

Well, decided to sign up for the tracker, for fun, and to see how I do without racking my own brain to figure out my progress!

I'm currently 70-G & 30-F....waiting on the market to leave this sideways-trading channel in some obvious direction. I know this is thought to be a bull formation, but, I'm retired and need to be frugal with my account. So, I'll patiently wait for the market to make a move and tell me what to do.

    Thanks for the welcome!!

If we had the old time trading rules, I would have been in the last couple days in that we reached the bottom of the current channel. But, with only two moves.....well that sure can cramp a person's style, can't it?!? I'd rather wait for the larger move, and hope it's UP!

Like I say, if I miss the first 50%....that's better than losing 50% of a downtrend...at least for me at this time.

    Hi Lobo,

I finally got around to 'finding' you had a home today.

I know you've been around for a good while but it's great you got your own place for me to stop by here and there.

I work in psychiatry so your name 'lobo' -- always stands out but my previous interactions stand out even more.

Well I'm 100% in the Markets --- thanks largely to Uptrend's System and somehow have 'a feeling' things will pay off. That's the main reason I rarely get around to this part of the site anymore cause I don't really have any thing substantial to add. I mean I'd feel kind of weird telling everyone: 'Hey I got a feeling' -- GO!! or BAIL !!

Well somehow I think the Markets will keep everyone's spirits pretty good for the next few weeks. Seems like we've had a least 5 Major Wars around here lately and I think everyone is ready to 'chill' for awhile. Of couse Buster and I are always exceptions to the rule cause we can only take 'the calm' for so long.

Well -- it's a nice home and I like the ativar a lot. Kind of reminds me of Greenspan --- anyway later Bro.

    Steady

Thanks Steady! Great to have you here!! I enjoy reading your posts throughout the other threads that I read. Yer a busy fella! Psychiatry fits you, I'm sure. That's a compliment, by the way. I like folks who mostly "shoot from the heart"!

I'm like you, in that I don't feel I have much "concrete" info to offer to those wondering about what to do with their TSP accounts. My account changes are less "gut" than they used to be, but, I look at so many different things so quickly to decide that it's hard to write down any real reasoning. Of course, there are just a few basic things I look at that seem to influence me the most. Keep it simple.....yeah. Bollinger bands, channels, and trends.....the basics. Right now, I'm just waiting on the pad to let the market make a decision for me! However, if we go back down to the bottom of this little sideways channel we are in right now (less than ~1090).....and being it is the season of great joy(!), Ill probably get back in until sometime in early January. I just wish it would hurry up and get there, or the season will be over without ole Santa coming by this year?!?

Yeah, I like "Lobo".....always have. Everyone has an animal in Creation that is "theirs". Real basic....I'm gray....and I love the woods, and the kindness and wisdom they show me in their silence. I probably even howl once in a while!

And the avatar (or however you spell that thing).....it's actually a picture of me before I went all gray. My wife took it while I was reading on the TSP-Talk forum!!!

How about tell me some more about yourself. I find you interesting as a person. What puts gas in your car?? What plows your garden?? etc.

Best of the Christmas season and the New Year to ALL of you out there in TSP-land!!! And may our God, whether or not you believe in Him, bless you with kindness and warmth of heart!!

    Thanks man - I appreciate it !!
I feel the same about you.

What puts gas in your car??
Well that started a long time ago when all the elements were first brought into being and all the stars and planets and everything were set in place. Life followed with a huge variety of forms and changes occured over time to both the physical conditions that fostered life and to life itself. It's kind of weird but there are cycles (or layers) built into the design of the universe and everything in it. So in time we had like oceans of life -- layered between soil and rock -- and that became oil

    What plows your garden?? etc.
will finish later ..... afraid I'll get 'timed out' and lose everything

So the oil itself came from 'The Maker' -- or GOD (as you noted).

Now The Maker is pretty cool and he blessed us with tons and tons of abilities ~~ but it's been kind of weird because the more we've learned to do things for ourselves -- the more we forgot Him. But the more we learned -- is all the more we wanted to learn and discoveries kept occurring over thousands and thousands of years. You would think that every successive '1,000 years' would throw us light years ahead of the previous 1,000.

But this is so funny I almost fell out of my chair laughing just thinking about it. Now get this -- the past 100 years have resulted in so many huge discoveries that it makes all the other years put together look like we were just getting out of the caves. So the oil refineries are a relatively new thing and from them we have 'gas'.

I'm a jack of all trades ... so I greese everything I've ever bought and change the oil and pump the gas ... balance and sharpen the blades ... put in electric wiring and whatever the electricity supplies... put in (or replace) the plumbing ... get the dead bugs out of the light fixtures and the lint out of the pipes ... and sand, varnish, and paint ... and fertilize, mow and trim ... and take care of the wife and kids and Ella (my baby forever).

The money for the gas comes from all the maintainence and everyday odds and ins that save me from excessive spending, along with my drive for simplicity. I don't have cable TV, high speed connections, or any costly habits. We always plan trips and vacations to minimize costs and we don't eat out much and spend a lot on recreational things. On top of all that we try to conserve and our electric bills, telephone bills and such are very reasonable.

As a Federal Employee -- I've done very well and it's just amazing how quickly these COL inceases and Step Increases add up. I've never had anything like that in all my years in the Private Sector.

I wrote a number of Childhood Bedtime Stories that became fairly popular. Have a number of investments that generate a little money and give me perks with gas prices and a bunch of other discounts. Hmmm ... let's see I have farm and crop money and some other things ... and I've got a wife that can stretch a dollar almost 68.3 miles ... so all together it all adds up.

OK -- well that's a start ... so that's what puts the gas in the car.

WOW !!! Of all questions to ask me ???

Hopefully you'll appreciate this as it ties in somewhat with your 'Creation - animal for us' thing.

I am hugely drawn to Nature Itself and anything and everything to do with the Universe - the Sun - The Moon - The Planet and more over and especially all the ways the wide variety of Planetary Systems tie together.

So for me the essense of LIFE itself is understanding the underlying designs that make plants develop and grow and bear fruit. Why every species of LIFE (Salmon, Penguins, Elephants, Birds) and the vast variety of each have their specific designs. With mankind I've spent years and years researching the brain through and through and discovering the vast array of distinctions between the male and female wiring; left handedness vs right handedness; and so many other aspects that pinpoint exactly why we think and behave the way we do.

I've come to discover more and more how 'light' itself and 'colors' have frequencies that are just as important to our 'Health' and 'Harmony' as the foods we eat and the things we drink and the rest and exercise we all need to focus on as well. Have come to find the essential 'elements' were meant to be arranged in Harmony with the Planet and that being out of Hamony with Earth and Nature is about as bad as known sickness or disease.

So I live on a spot of our Planet where Science has proven has the best possible soil known. The people living here are incredibly high quality -- down to earth -- warm, decent community people. I suspect the electro-magnetic waves controlling our Planet are frequently in the better ranges in this part of the world. Of course the 'Blue Zones' are the ultimate and I will likely move to one of these areas after I retire.

What plows my garden is the endless admiration I have for everything about our Planet and all LIFE upon it. It is the thrill of planting a wide variety of fruits and vegetables from scratch and having 'garden fresh' food. Canning tons of stuff every year and having our own jelly, tomatoe juice, pickles, dried tomatoes, cumcumbers, zuchini, frozen peppers.... and of course taking our berries to Market

So LIFE is Wonderful and I find almost everything fascinating because I have learned to take the time to really discover so many aspects about what makes plants and animals special -- let alone the weather patterns and how the Oceans function and our relationship with the Sun and Moon and it just goes on and on.

So ultimately for me LIFE is discovering 'The Maker' more and more and growing in my understanding and appreciation of everything and how ultimately every single aspect points to HIM.

Alright Steady!! I've thoroughly enjoyed reading from your mind. I could put some of my related comments/thoughts out there, but not now.....how about more from you?!? For instance....What brings out your biggest grin?....What is your view of folks who don't agree with you?.....How do react to silence?....Do you have any interest in the thoughts of American Indians?....Are you a musician?....What do you do to find peace in the middle of tenseness? More later.

Well...2morrow may tell the tale of whether I get in now/soon or not. A little more down, without a LOT more down in one day, and I will probably get in for at least a little ride up with Santa....maybe? We'll see. I think she'll bounce off the bottom of the sideways channel at least one more time. I've been stung thinking stuff before.....yeah, before it happens...ha! Just gotta make a little something before this month is over....kinda spinning my wheels sitting in the G and F!

We'll just see what the stomach can handle in the morning...but, I do hate being locked in with a weekend coming....too many hours for something weird to happen. Sound like a "fraidee cat", don't I? We'll see!

Thanks -- I'm totally an open book with nothing to hide.

For instance....What brings out your biggest grin?....

What brings out my biggest grin is very close to your comment:

Everyone has an animal in Creation that is "theirs". Real basic....I'm gray....and I love the woods, and the kindness and wisdom they show me in their silence. I probably even howl once in a while!

What ultimately brings the 'biggest grin' is the realization that if everything was 'Created' -- it was Created for a 'specific purpose' and everything was meant to be perfect.

For me -- almost every animal made (be it some variety of fish, fowl, animal) -- everyone of them is 'sacred' and designed for perfect harmony with our environment. I know for instance that even the 'wildest horse' and even deer -- if approached in the right manner long to be our friend and they thrive on acceptance, respect, and understanding. So for me there is nothing like having a wild animal --- that has never been subjected to human influence or contact --- nothing that comes close to sending that animal the signals it needs to communicate 'genuine friendship'. The ultimate Glory is having that 'PURE' animal go out of it's way to befriend you and to in essense 'Bow down in respect for you'. Here it is not that I in anyway want anything to 'worship me' -- but animals have a way of communicating genuine friendship that humans rarely ever achieve. When a horse or deer lay down for you it is the ultimate expression of friendship and there is nothing they could do beyond that to convey the ultimate sense of trust for you and the deepest desire to be 'in harmony' with you. At this stage you can freely touch them -- and the horse longs to show you his/her loyality and will offer you a good ride.

What is your view of folks who don't agree with you?.....How do react to silence?....Do you have any interest in the thoughts of American Indians?....Are you a musician?....What do you do to find peace in the middle of tenseness? More later.
