    Default shawdaddy's account talk

    Hi All,

Well I'm active duty Air Force, 16 years and have been investing in the TSP since 2004. I am mostly invested in the I fund, but I take advice well as I am new to moving my money around. Not sure what to put in here, but if I'm missing some important info that someone needs to know to help me make larger gains, just let me know. Right now my PIP is 39.71%. I have a little over 10K in the I fund now just sitting there. Thanks in advance for any help.

Only you know what is right for you, the real question is what do you want to know?

News, technicals, charts, politics, gut feelings all go into the mix. You will find many here who share their thoughts and expertise, most with the intent to help educate and to learn. Lots of help if you want to understand why others do what they do. And plenty of humor to help smooth the bumps.

What did you see up there the last few years that led you to pour most assests into I fund?
    hey ed

The good folks that got hurt today were those with very large positions in the S and I funds. The G funders escaped unharmed - but then they won't make any money during the next two upside months. There has been a subtle shift in quality to the large cap sector that is now likely to persist for the remainder of this cyclical bull inside the mega trend secular bull market. And I've been saved by the exploding VIX - what a relief.

Well I went back and looked at the years prior and seen share prices around $22.00. When I bought in the I fund the shares were $13 or $14 I think, so I knew the buy low sell high, so I went all in to the I. Maybe it was right time right place, but I would rather be lucky than good anyday.
