I waved to Carl while he was standing on the train platform today - he's still looking at the caboose.

Charts are looking toppy on this last leg up, so I'll be patient while waiting for an entry point in the next couple of weeks, before the end of the month. Closing above some key resistance levels is making a case for the intermediate-term bulls. I played this last leg up too cautiously, still trying to shake that last 2008 bear out of my system.

Don't get too beared up. Bearish sentiment has risen quickly for months when the market gets tentative and weak. That's the stuff rallies are made of. Unfortunately, the cash piles into the market quickly on both sides of the trade, making TSP trading very difficult unless one is confident in front-running signals. And that ain't easy.

Hard to say how much downside action, if any, we'll see from this point in the trading channel, but with today's red numbers providing at least some kind of entry point at the IFT deadline, I'm 30C/30S/40I COB today. I would prefer to be more patient and wait for a better entry point, but closing above some of the levels we're seeing may delay said entry point...we'll see.
