ah hell, my current friends are good enough. but i'm afraid to go start it again because of what god might play on the radio. i sent my kid down to go get the book so he can figure out how to change it. strange days indeed.

you know what you do with a horse like this, right? when called you have to hammer down stand on it and run it straight into the teeth, choke on it demon, not today satan, not today.

thank you lord, life is good.
Very nice set of wheels, Donkey. Glad you were able to get some reliable transportation, especially in that unforgiving weather. The red gives it a snazzy pop as well. You done good. Now all you need is a companion's black Mustang to complete the picture.

oh but look at my horse, she got nice hips huh? a beauty.

and first song on the radio when i start it up is 'wheel in the sky' by journey. life is good when it keeps turning, no argument from me there. the stereo rocks! and next song is rolling stones no satisfaction. god is fookin with me for sure. i still can't figure out how to change the dial.

i looked at one of those mustangs in the showroom while the salesman was back with management trying to save my final offer deal and make the sale. i changed my mind about that little philly, the back seat ain't big enough to get some good mookie mookie on. hell, forget about room for two, i don't think i could climb back in there and do it myself, and i've got some practice at that. they are a dodge dealership too and had a 'hellcat' right next to it. that back seat ain't big enough either. why would anybody buy a car with no room to screw in the back seat? things that make you go 'hmmm'.

I don't know burro, mustangs have always been a chick magnet. Of course I know lots of country girls who just love a man with a pickup truck. Something about the light in the bed giving off a romantic glow. But then again, with all that snow, perhaps it would be wise to put off the christening until spring....

Burrocrat, we are not getting much of anything yet, just some cool temps 20 degrees now. We are staying inside and we do have the slow cooker going and the wood stove.

mmm, mmmm, that looks like a fine north country chicken and mushroom dish, heck yeah, i bet it smells good.

single digit high temps here today, folks digging out. forecast through the weekend is cold, even by our standards, sunday projection is high -1 with a low of -12 thermometer temps. realfeel with windchill right now is -25 and gonna get way worse. we've been lucky the last few years with dry open winters, not having a big blowout crack the pipes event, it sounds like a gunshot when they pop, if you hear that at 3am you know you're screwed. i have a bad feeling about this one.

i always keep a blanket and an extra pair of jammies and underwear in my vehicle, sometimes they're mine.

yeah, the red 'x' was a nice touch i thought, reminds me of the tattoo on my ass. when i was younger i could clench and make it look like a 'y'. but those party trick days are over now, can't even crawl into the back seat of a mustang for some lovin, no more magic mike stuff for me.

so dog still fookin with me this morning over the radio. it is 'smoke on the water' this time on the way to work. double funny subtle joke, he's a tricky one, great sense of twisted humor, he does that sometimes.

joke #1, i used to smoke and every once in a while it still tempts me, like the garden of gethsemane or something, a huge hook, just ask any addict, seriously lord? smoke?

but that ain't the half... water, really? joke #2, there is no fookin water and you know it, water is soft, you just froze it all. now all the water is hard, ice, funny guy.

but 'smoke on the ice' don't play so well i guess (athough i've done that too), what trickster, it makes me want to keep living just to see what he comes up with next. maybe that is the plan?

thank you god for the pickup, the life, the food, the shelter, and the heat. oh, and thank you for all the nice folks too. i sure do appreciate it.

and also thank you for that ford 9 speaker sound system with the bass, it rocks! (p.s. i heard you, so please stop kicking my ass, give me some time).

    burrocrat,

O.K. so I admit that I am not very well versed in responding in the forum format, I still have a lot to learn. So any way we have 20% chance of snow today, currently 23 deg. but it feels like 10 deg. Monday we should start to get our lower temperature drops to negative numbers. I know what you mean about being prepared for the worst we have home made survival kits in all of our vehicles. like the boy scouts say"better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it".Oh was that "be prepared" ? Seven years in Alaska with the United States Army taught me to be prepared. But I think that Minnesota winters are worst than Alaska's.

yeah, but that's because you have the vikings.

you know why the wind is so bad in north dakota right? because montana blows and minnesota sucks.
