Somehow I have a hard time believing you found that particular gentleman lesson in "the handbook", b. Are you writing a sequel? or volume 2, perchance? It could be a bestseller, if so.

i don't think i would be very successful at writing a gentleman book, it's not my strong suit. i have considered launching my literary career as a writer of short story downloadable e-books and selling them for $1.99 on amazon. sort of like a harlequin romance novel, except without all the boring dialogue stuff and waaay dirtier, i think i would be good at it.

but i am still working on my pen name.

How about Richard Boner? Dick Boner for short. True story...there is a guy on my route with that name. It's a crack up when the new subs see his mail addressed with that name. Dick Boner's parents must have been high when picking names for their son, or just had a wicked sense of humor.

i was thinking something more along the lines of Phil U Upp or else P Earl Driver, but i'm not sure how well that would be received.

Not well with the female readership on Amazon, but maybe there is a porn publishing company that would be more receptive.

burros-ark update: this is a difficult market to trade, no clear direction. just when you think it should go down, it creeps up on you. and when you're sure it is melting up, it takes a tumble. so what is it? does anybody remember those old saturday night live skits 'what is pat'? i'm just not quite sure. most are standing pat, but overall the ones that are in are profiting.

    burros-ark 5 4.99% 0 * pat
resident vira ytd% weight direction comment
    mouse 4 2.98% 0 * pat
    turtle 3 2.44% 84 < patrice
    elephant 5 8.83% 100 * pat
    penguin 5 2.24% 0 * pat
    lion 5 4.78% 68 * pat
    donkey 5 2.78% 0 * pat
    racoon 8 7.07% 100 <,>,* patrick
    kangaroo 3 4.31% 0 * pat
    cougar 5 6.68% 100 * pat
    wolf 7 4.86% 100 * pat
    owl 5 4.79% 0 * pat
    squirrel 5 2.40% 60 * pat
    hawk 5 7.66% 0 * pat
    el vira 65 - 65 = 0 / 65 = 0%
    exposure 612 / 1,300 = 47%

signal: buy. the system has been on a sell, but this is taking waaaay too long. el vira is at 0%, even steven. arkers are net long 47%, that's fairly neutral. so how long can one sit on a rock? how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? one, two, three, crunch. the ark will execute a buy at cob tomorrow. if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

well, the ark system got in today at sale prices. only i'm worried now the discounts have just begun, let's hope it's not the sell in may inventory liquidation sale already, i was hoping that was next week.

we just cleared may money (+5% at my 1% per month goal) and i hope we don't give it all back to the market within a few days. yes, i know 'hope' is not typically a word you want to hear an investment advisor say, so it's a good thing i am not an investment advisor.

if it tumbles over the next few days, my personal account is probably going to buy all in to the wind.

burros-ark update: a couple of studs are nailing down +7%, with a couple more close enough behind at +5% to feel the wind (not that kind of wind). and plenty of folks enjoy a solid +3% in the middle of the up and coming pack. the rest of us are just standing around getting screwed. a few bold moves into the market and one safe play the seasonal odds out bet. interesting.

    el vira 74 - 65 = 9 / 65 = 14%
    exposure 764 / 1,300 = 59%

signal: buy. the system went to a buy last week and reinforces the position this week. el vira is at 14%, solidly optomistic. if you are in hold, if you're not, get in before the pack leaves you in the dust. arkers are net long a moderate 59%, so expect good things. the ark will hold long for the week. hiyah, giddy up![/QUOTE]
