The first word that came to mind was pandering, but after looking it up in online an online dictionary and thesaraus i think that carries too negative a connotation.

What you both smell is the fear from bear scatology. I'm smelling the heavy scent of superlative bull manure because a stampede is gathering strength.

One man's scat is another man's treasure. there's always buyers and sellers. i smell the bull too, just waiting for the sale to start before he takes off running.
