Did you know that on any given day, if you do a <1%IFT to increase your percentages, and the market went down on
that day, your actually buying more shares at a cheaper price. You'll see the shares rise on the TSP Website the next
morning. Should you do this for several days as the Market goes down, your (in essence) DCA'ing. Thats known as
"Dollar Cost Averaging". Which means your purchasing more and more shares each time as the market goes down.
This is why I added the Shares +/- column to the Daily Breakdown (below).
My thoughts of future market events are strictly my gut feelings and have nothing
to do with actual knowledge or experience concerning the Stock Market or Investing.

    Wink Re: <1%IFT Option

    Sometimes, you'll wish you didn't do a <1%IFT. Here's an example.

Monday you start the day off with:
90-4-2-2-2 (The Market looks down before noon)
At Noon you do a <1%IFT (90-4-2-2-2) to keep the percentages the
same for Tuesday. Low and behold, you get an afternoon rally and your
percentage would have looked like this come Tuesday if you did NOT do
    a <1%IFT: 89.85%-4.02%-2.03%-2.05%-2.05%
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
On Tuesday, the rally continues and you wish you had larger percentages
working for you during that rally. If you simply wait until Tuesday, your
    percentages (89.85%-4.02%-2.03%-2.05%-2.05%) would have given
you the ability to Jack them up to the next whole percentage by doing
your <1%IFT on Tuesday instead of Monday. The percentages on Wed.
would then look similar to this: 86%-5%-3%-3%-3% or any combination
    that you decided upon.
My thoughts of future market events are strictly my gut feelings and have nothing
to do with actual knowledge or experience concerning the Stock Market or Investing.

Like I said , I get it and it is genious, but your last post is what gets me all the time. Got to do it before noon and with this volatility you know how that goes.
2 IFT's a month is restrictive but before noon is the money loser.

    Have a great weekend
The market is like a wheelbarrow- it stands still until someone pushes it. Little help here.

Should I have read into your post correctly and the above is what your
looking for, then I will try my best to do this for those interested. But
know this, I can't say how long I'll be able to do this as my time and
other personal factors may get in the way of consistancy. All's I can
say is; "I'll try my best". If this is not what you meant, again, please
explain. Thanks for taking an interest in my <1%IFT way of staying
    out of the (G)arage.[/quote]
    Hello and many THANKS,
I consider that although the message board has been very financially beneficial for me it is kind of nice to keep an eye on for future profits and some fun?
As far as the REVSHARK note that was all in jest. I would never want to take any bread($$$) or butter off of anyone's plate. It was just sort of a mention that I feel that possibly you deserve something more for what you've put in. I'm just killing time and I was just hinting at nothing. So I hope that all are well and Please don't mention this to Revshark or Tom or James48843 for I don't want to meet up with either's version of their "MEN IN BLACK".

This is about it. There's alot of manual adjustments that
will be required on a daily basis. Again, I'll do my best to
keep up with it. It will allow you to see "WHEN" I do my
<1%IFT and how may shares I gain or lose by doing so.
Further, you'll see the daily result of my efforts and the
Weekending results as well. Good Luck To Us All.

Please remember, this Tracking of the <1%IFT will only be kept while I'm
at <1%IFT levels. Should I increase my risk (out of those levels) or bail
totaly to the (G) Fund, I will no longer be tracking my results. I invite
everyone to make up a Spreadsheet, should you wish to track your own
results while I'm out of my <1%IFT Levels. Those Levels tend to be
5% or Less. I'll post when I go into my <1%IFT mode.

Well golly I can't believe you criminals are still getting away with these shenanigans! I hope you realize you're circumventing the IFT's wheels of justice and costing all of us buy & holders enough money to buy a happy meal

    Hey Mr. Long guess what?

You still haven't saved anyone any money, and you still suck...
I'm looking for an entry below $EMW's 669, but I'll take whatever the market is willing to give.

Depending on todays market, I have plans on jacking up my (S) and (I) Funds
through utilizing my Future Allocation (comes in on Tuesday for me) ability.
I'll be allocating 50% in each of the two funds and drive my percentages
over their next whole percent level.
