I don't normally care to do split allocations, but given the recent change in landscape, I'm setting aside some buying power for next month. It will take some significant maneuvering to dig myself out of this -4.82% hole, but I've come back from worse.

I hear you JTH! I'm currently down 4.61% year to date, so I feel your pain. Welcome back. Looking forward to seeing some of those outstanding charts you are known for!!!

Sitting approximately at both 50% of the yearly high/low and wave AB. Perhaps with a continuing decline in volume, we can begin to float the markets back up.

    1) Bought new refurbished PC, have sent it back for additional repair twice (thanks HP)
    2) Sent my eldest daughter off to college today, she moved up to Austin
    3) Other 2 kids start school tomorrow
    4) Have an extended overseas assignment, I'm leaving the family back in the states

Still waiting for the orders to get cut, for now I'm focused on getting the family prepared for my absence, if all goes well, I'll be ready to resume the markets in December.

    Take care...Jason
It's a long shot, but if you're headed to Okinawa, let me know!

JTH posts us some charts soon, need visuals!
I like TSPTalk and I think most people here are well-intentioned but if I followed their advice, I'd be hunkered down in my basement with a thousand cans of tuna fish.

I'm off work this week, which means I'm fortunate enough to get a front row seat to this price action. However, my main PC is still at HP for repair, once I get it back I've got to restore the files and update them, that could take weeks. I've also let the stockcharts.com subscription expire, so I'm flying on the free side for now.

For now, I'm watching the 1930 level since it's a 50% retrace of the previous upwave. I'd like to think we'll sort this thing out prior to the Labor day weekend. A continuation (measured move down) from the AB wave measured at C, takes us to 1750.

Oh noes! Avoid HP. - If you must have a windows machine try Dell or Asus. Not sure if Acer is the company it used to be but we are still using an Acer/ XP machine that's going on 8 yrs old as a office/ web computer and its been pestered by Trojans, etc several times but only wiped HDD once and that was years ago.

Dells are reliable machines the customer service stinks but who care if you don't have to call them!!
