Well now we know why the market tanked yesterday. Thank you for the tariffs on steel and aluminum.

Markets are looking terrible this morning. I may have to take a big loss just to stop the bleeding. Will have to wait and see what things look like before noon.

But remember what happens before noon can really change up in the afternoon ...and during the last hour. Ugghh....

Tariffs important on steel/aluminum ...can impact national security if we don't produce enough. Also need reciprocal VATs.

So here is my dilemma. I'm currently 40/30/30 C/S/I and made the jump from 100% S because the C & I funds were performing better than S. Then February went sour, which didn't help. Now the S fund is doing much better and if I would have stayed in the S fund I would be 2% higher right now. I would think that the S fund will do better with the possible tariff war coming. If I jump back now I would only be 11 shares less then when I made my move in late January. I will be out of town next week and not sure if I should stay put or go back to S. GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Then again will the I fund jump back to it's winning ways with the possible talks between U.S. and N. Korea?

Maybe this will help you decide. I'm conviced the markets did that when they did because I moved from S to C at the time as well. You will notice that the S Fund didn't start to outperform right away. The C Fund continued to lead the way -- only in the negative direction. It's only when they turned around and started to recover, that the S Fund started to lead to the upside. That's why I'm 2% below both funds right now.

That being said, I don't plan an equivalent move straight back to the S Fund any time soon (why tempt Fate). So, there should still be some money to be made there for those considering an entry.

Further out I am considering a possible entry into the I Fund. It has been the leading fund for April over half the time since 2001. That's more than the other funds combined. Just something to think about.

Thanks Cactus. I did the same thing last year and did OK, but not as good as I could have.
