Hey I have a 2004 4Runner V6 with 57,000 miles on it, hasn't burped for 15 years tires and batteries is all I've done to it. Now I have a recall for a cracked dash that needs to be fixed.

At least Toyota did a recall, GM has so far refused to do so....................

Crutchfield is a top notch company. Your install reminds me of one I did many, many years ago. Wouldn't have had a clue how to do it. The printed instructions complete with pictures!, helped me do it with zero problems.

Is that a Joshua Tree ??? Brings back memories of my time in the high Mojave desert, at Edwards AFB !!! I had a used Ford F-100 at the time, but horses, and a horse trailer, too...scary memories of riding down the I-5 pass to Griffith Park in L.A., and hauling the horses up to ride in Tehachipi... OH MY !!!

Yep, that's a big Joshua Tree along the Mohave Trail - an old stagecoach trail that runs 160 miles from the Colorado River outside Laughlin, NV to Barstow, CA. I've run the trail a few times now, a pretty trail with lots of history behind it, and a lot of neat things to see.

She used to be a daily driver but tires and gas got too expensive, so I drive an '09 Lancer Ralliart now. That car is more fun on the street anyway.

Nice! I used to have an 88 Toyota PU with the 22R (carbureted). They DO last forever. Keep clean oil in her and you'll get 300k miles out of her, minimum. Very capable off road too, if you regear high enough the 4 banger will crawl through anything. Not sure about zombies, but you could use it for a deer blind!

Now yall are speakin my language. I have a 92 Toyota pickup that has nothing stock on it anymore. Extra cab on a regular cab frame, dual transfer cases, 5.29 gears, locked front and rear, rollin on 35s. My 22RE has 235xxx miles on it. Since my office is only 5 miles from my house, it gets DD duty fairly often.

How did the Jeep get in there? You guys are making me remember times past. Had a 77 F-150 short cab short bed back around 1980. Got it buried up to the mirrors in the San Pedro River at Charleston AZ one time. A guy pulled me out for a case of beer. 20 years later got a Dakota crew cab 4x4 and did some mild "unimproved roading" for a while until SO couldn't stand the bumps and dog only wanted to get out and try to drown in irrigation ditches. Since then it has been a DD but handy for trips to the rim in winter.
