I like the Shield (I have it's slightly thicker brother, the M&P9c), but it's just a little too big for my "everyday" carry. On the advice of a friend several years ago, I tried a Kahr CM9 and I love it! Smaller than my old PPK .380, but more controllable (even though it's 9mm).

Most importantly, I shoot it well and it's extremely reliable. Several friends have tried mine at the range and ended up buying one to replace their pocket revolvers.

No kidding. 4 years US Army lugging one of those around every day was plenty enough for me. I swear my right leg must be shorter from hauling that huge hog around. No more, I want light and tiny.
