I hear that. I use to be able to drive from Maryland to Texas in 30 hours with just 3 hours sleep in a roadside park. Not anymore......I'll lucky to make it to the Texas border from central TX now...............

Hope you had a great time in Florida! Too darned humid for me............

BTW, even though it's cold here in Texas in the mornings, it's a dry cold.................LOL!

I wonder if this is what happened to the TSPtalk server today?

"Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks have become a commonplace threat to online businesses. With over 50,000 distinct attacks per week, DDoS attacks have become highly visible and costly forms of cyber-crime, and are increasingly being proactively addressed by online businesses to avoid devastating costs of DDoS-related downtime."

Could be. I wondered why you were seemingly absent today. I thought it was perhaps due to lack of trades left for the month or that you were tooling about in your motor home on some vacant stretch of desert high way chasing the horizon.

One thing you could look at is, when my system gets it's next buy signal, check to see which fund has dropped the farthest from my previous sell signal. This "may" indicate that it'll bounce back up higher. This will normally just be a choice between the S and I funds though. If you don't mind the I fund, it may be a better choice. I'll stick to the S fund though.....

Thanks for your feedback. The I Fund did work for us this month, despite it's volatility. I'll stick with your recommendations in the future.

I would suspect tomorrow will be a slightly down day in anticipation of the aforementioned occurrences................
You watch it I_T and let me know what you think later, I cant stand the site of him. Remember when the Presidential Seal fell off the lectern when he was talking? I believe in Signs.
I like TSPTalk and I think most people here are well-intentioned but if I followed their advice, I'd be hunkered down in my basement with a thousand cans of tuna fish.

    The name will be "GreensKeeper".
Thanks for the idea kar crazy! I love the play on words and the fact that I worked at a golf course last year.

Nice to see the small caps outperforming again today. Since my last signal, large caps have outperformed and have been in the green while small caps have lagged. Today should bring them back into the green also. Although I we'll probably get some volatility while the day traders play their little games, I still expect small caps to post a nice return. Looks like my system may be setting up for a sell signal tomorrow so we may not be getting that usual pop at the beginning of month in Feb. Guess we shall see.................

I-T, thanks for helping us newbies out, I missed your last sell signal and got stuck in the F fund for one extra day so I'm lagging behind a bit. Anyway, the question I have is do you have advice for any of us who also carry a Roth IRA? I'm currently with Vanguard (who has funds very similar to TSP), but with Vanguard, you can't buy into a fund for two months once you've sold your shares. Therefore, your system unfortunately does not work for Vanguard roth IRAs. I'm just trying to find a good system for my Roth, I guess there is the dreaded *gulp* buy-and-hold strategy.

    Thanks again I_T.

If you owned individual stocks inside your Roth IRA the buy and hold strategy would be perfect - it takes time for good gains to grow.
