    Default Callme_CO's Account Talk

Welcome Callme_CO! I can not add you to the Weekly Tracker until you provide the total fund allocation among the G, F, C, S, and I funds. We do not directly track the Lifecycle funds. Go to TSP.gov and look up the L2040 fund allocation among the basic funds as of March 2007. This allocation changes over time. Then calculate the allocation to each fund by multiplying its percentage by 0.7 (70%) and then add 30% G.

Please read the rules on posting to your account found in the sticky threads at top of Member's Accounts (no chat) forum.

    Default Callme_CO's Account Talk

Ok so i made the decision made fully on my lack of understanding of the funds to watch the trend of certain other investers here until I gain knowledge of the funds and what effects them. I'm so new i still have the plastic wrapper smell on me.

Anyways. If anybody has any information on the funds that would help me out i would much appreciate it.

New at investing is not a bad thing. It’s good because your mind can absorb the investing knowledge of the experienced members. Most members at TSPTalk trade among the funds at a frequency of ranging from days to months using technical analysis, trends, and prior market behavior. Some members set a fixed allocation among G/F/C/S/I funds, akin to the Lifecycle funds, but often with higher S and I percentages. They don't time the market cycles, but instead get market returns for the risk taken. Just read through the various threads in our forums and you will learn about financial stuff. That’s what we are all about.

If you invest in the Lifecycle funds, and you want to be followed in our Weekly Tracker, you need to learn how to calculate the allocation percentage among the basic G, F, C, S, and I funds when reporting your transfer in your account. If you need help ask and you will receive assistance.

no real backbone to it. Still learning the process, but i recieved a gut feeling after reading a few peoples accounts that the I fund and F fund will be ok tomarrow. We will see.

We can not enter the below IFT in the Weekly Tracker for COB Monday, 3-26-07, because it is in violation of 12:00 pm EDT deadline. It could be entered in our tracker for COB on Tuesday, 3-27-07. Sorry, we can not honor prior IFT claims even if you have computer problems.

It appears you transferred to 50% L2040 and 50% L2030, or some combination of L-Funds because the odd percentages that are rounded to 1/100 percent. Is this correct?

The IFT stated below overrides the previous entry in your account. Therefore, your transfer for COB Tuesday, 3-27-07, will be to 100% I fund. You can only have one pending IFT at TSP.gov.

Geeze it's been almost a year since i've been in here. I should probably dust the place off. I've decided to be in the market 90 percent. I'm going to do future contributions to buying up shares of c and s fund. I think things will pick up and i wanna snag as many shares while the getting is good.
