When is Open Season, and do I have to wait to Open Season to change how I allocate my contributions?

I went to the TSP.govweb site today, and it seemed that I could have changed allocation today.

The last question is allocation really that important, since you can do an interfund transfer anytime?

It ended June 30th but that was only to change the amount you deposit with each paycheck. You can change you contribution allocation any time.

Exactly. No, it is not important. You are the first one to figure that out. I usually have to explain that to the new folks. If you don't make many transfers than I'd say it is more important.
