Regarding the last few quotes - THANK YOU - your points are valid and well taken. Communication is essential and the better we do it - the better off we are.

Pool is still open, but water is 78 degrees, cool!! I'm closing it this weekend. I can't imagine closing 210 pools, this will be the second one I closed this year and that's 2 too many!!! Gotta be good money thought!!!!!

    Just my two cents
There is one question that comes to mind in response to this post. If you are perfectionist in your grammer and spelling, why are you working for the Federal government?

Now pay attention while we congegate the verb phrase "to take coffee breaks."

    I take coffee breaks.
    You take coffee breaks.
    He takes coffee breaks.
    We take coffee breaks.
    You take coffee breaks.
    They take coffee breaks.

OK, now for your assignment. Your assignment is to congegate the verb phrase "to call in sick."

All I can confirm is that it must be time "for another break"!

And it's not about perfect grammar and punctuation... just for reference, go back and read the post in question. Sheesh!

A modicum of reason tells us that just a general effort to make sense is appreciated, and the post in question demonstrated little or no effort. In fact it was the worst post I have read (in this regard). This post was also significant in that it did not reflect the well demonstrated ability to use punctuation that was evidenced in the other posts that were logged. So, the poster is obviously capable.

nnut made a good point and a great observation. The posters response was way over the top.

I hated grammar and such, and was never very good at it... but I could usually at least get a C+...

I totally know what you mean by punctuation, spelling, etc. I talk on a particular NFL message board all the time and the people on there are horrendous spellers! I usually just ignore it, but occasionally, I get frustrated and I say something; it ends up making me sound like a snob, then I end up regretting it! I now just let bygones be bygones and not worry about it. That being said, unless the person is new to English, ie. speaks a foreign language, I think it's lazy not to look up the words at dictionary.com http://dictionary.reference.com/ so they are at least spelled right! Oh well, too many other things to worry about in life!

BTW, I used dictionary.com to look up the words in bold, just to makes sure I was spelling them right!

    Hey, this is fun.

There was a guy who would email me every time (or is it everytime?) I made a grammatical error in my market commentary. I learned a lot from him. I am either writing a lot better or he stopped reading.
