    kave,

i received the vape station and it is incredible. i have no complaints. very well crafted, like a piece of furniture. i'm totally satisfied with the purchase, the price, the execution of the idea, and especially the shipping and service. i would have no qualms recommending your work to anyone, even my mother, and she's dead and don't even vape.

the salvaged tobacco barn wood is a hand's down winner, and particularly fitting for this type of piece. if you don't have a pile of it in your backyard already, get one. when i get 100k working capital i am going to quit my safe fed job pre-retirement eligible and open a full service vape shop in the bakken. the potential markup and demand here would make your head spin. there is literally so much money flying out folks' asses here they don't know what to do with it. i plan to help them with that problem via a little retail vice therapy.

i have a degree in design and planning, and have sat through many a brutal design critique of my dreams. i have a lot of thoughts that could help refine the form and function of your product. but folks unfamiliar with that kind of brainstorming often take it way too personal and negatively when it is really just a way to polish the proposal into an ideal solution.

i would be more than happy to offer feedback. and i want several of those on the counter working in my future shop. i could sell the hell out of them, no joke.

i will provide full review and suggestions in the e-cig thread if you are interested. scheduling and workload make that impractical at the moment but i will make the time soon if you want.

bottom line, if anybody who vapes and wants a storage solution or work surface is thinking about this, contact kave and just buy it. you will not be disappointed. hand's down a winner. full endorsement. i'm glad i got the first one-off. no bullshit.

The DW & I have been away for a few days for some R&R. While we've took time to refresh our energy and focus, we've kept a eye on the volatility in the markets. Dammit Boy has this month been wild or not!!!

On another note, I finally got the last item I needed to complete my latest project from the Kave Woodshop. Below are a few pictures. The star of the show is the tobacco that my family proudly grows. These boxes are made from the same reclaimed barn wood I used to build burrocrat's vape station and I finished them the same way. The front trim are tobacco sticks that we used to hang the tobacco in the barns for curing. The neatly hand tied bundle was tied by the mother of new owner of one of these boxes. The cured tobacco used to be tied in similar fashion to go to market. These two shadow boxes are going to family members. One will go to my cousin who owned the barn where I reclaimed the wood. My nephew will get the other.

    Thanks for looking!!

Are the back pieces plywood from the barn too, Kave? regardless, very nice plywood. what type of wood might that be?

that's a nice looking box you got there cave. i know your level of craft and care you put into your pieces, very fine.

as a pretty much exsmoker, i would consider buying one if you included an 'in case of emergency break glass' sticker on the front and duct taped a pack rolling papers and matches on the back. i could hang it on the wall like art but in case of the zombie apocalypse and i couldn't get more vape supplies i would still be set. i worry about these things. if you think zombies irritate me, you should see how i freak out if i run out of nicotine.

    outstanding.

Thanks! There was no such thing as plywood when this barn was built. The plywood back is simply a 1/4 piece I bought at my local building supply store. I finished it the same as the rest of the piece. The plywood on inside of the box has a piece of burlap covering. Burlap sheets were used as containers to take the tobacco to market.

Kave those are some very nice displays. I can't tell the exact size but they look about coffe table size if you put 4 legs on them. I grew up working with farmers with my work and hv seen a lot of bacca in my day, but none displayed like this, very nice.
