Shoulda stuck with my plan and bailed on Wednesday. Oh well, guess I'm in for a little pain today... Just can't understand why markets are so spooked over a September rate hike and if inventories of oil are down, why is the price down? Something smells fishy to me...

I'm thinking of throwing in 30%... the slide seems to have leveled off. 1% isn't that much for a sell off...

Well I'm in good company then. I just increased my allocation to 50% G fund, 15% C Fund and 35% S Fund. Now all we have to do is hope for a nice bounce next week. Of course if it continues down, I've still got another IFT to buy a little more.

Sitting here watching the Sprint Cup race from Richmond this evening. Just doesn't seem as much fun when your driver (Dale Earnhardt Jr, #88) is out for the rest of the season with a concussion. Just seems like a bunch of folks going around in circles... Oh well, guess I can always root for the 11 car of Denny Hamlin...

On a happier note, my Ravens play the Bills tomorrow...and my Orioles are in the thick of a pennant race...Ahh it's a good time to be a sports fan.

As for the markets, lots of chatter out there about raising rates in September. I still believe it won't happen, not in the middle of a Presidential election...We've seen this song and dance before. Someone says something, everyone panics and the selling begins. Then when the FOMC occurs, no rate hike and markets shoot higher...At least that's how I see it.

So Fed Gov Brainard spoke today and it appears there will be no rate hike in September. There you have it folks! Okay, everybody back in the pool...

Markets looking good today, so I am standing pat. FOMC is Wednesday and if all goes well I can see us shooting up to the 2193 area. If we hit that, I'll then head for the sidelines.

Big boy pants deployed and ready to ride the wave.

Other than that, if I hear one more person say "At the end of the day", I'm going to run out into the middle of traffic! ;swear
