July Report

As stated on a prior post, I needed to get back to basics and follow my strategy. So that's exactly what I did and it paid off. For the month, I ended up finishing with a gain of 0.91%. I'll take that any day.

On 1 July, I was 100% invested in the F Fund. I submitted my first IFT moving to 100% S Fund, effective COB 1 Jul. The one day in the F Fund netted a loss of -0.39%. Boo

I spent 2 July through 14 July in the S Fund and netted a gain of +1.20%. I then exited to the G Fund COB 14 July which happened to be the high water mark for the month, so that was a great call.

All in all, going back to the basics and believing in my strategy is what I needed to do. I've seen lots of posts stating shoulda, woulda, coulda and why have a strategy if you're not going to follow it. If nothing else, the June loss got me back on track. I'm sure I'll make plenty of mistakes along the way, but they're my mistakes and I can live with my mistakes. That's not a dig on the premium services, they're just not for me. I read a quote once; "You can never pay someone to do something as cheaply as you can do it yourself."
