Gee that G-Fund is feeling a little bit cozy now. Just thought I would tell all that I'm getting closer to the "DAY" so I'll probably get more conservative in my IFT'sunless I see different. Think I'll stay warm in front of the fire for a couple of days.

    DMA,

You would be wiser to call Bambi and get some prescient advise. I think her views tend to be similar to biggdog1's views or perhaps those are her views.

Birch when you're short-timing like me there's no "cents" in giving money back :*. I do like you're "tude" about investing butI think I'll hold off a little until I see $$$ in the next 8 months. You lost almosthalf of what I own in TSP last week, but I'm Civil Service and my TSP account is going for aPAID IN FULL motorhome :^when I retire. Maybe I'll stop by for a visit next May :i.

Spaf, I'm already eligible but the USPS is giving us a HUGE 1.6% increase in March06. I thought I'd wait til May01-06, I'll have 37 years (70.5%). MyTSP account is extra. Like I told Birch, things look iffy right now andI don't see just giving $$$ back. I can afford to wait. LOL in July, maybe I'll drop by and we can both visit Birch.

I had a lot of friends in 2002 that were retired and how to go back to work.

    Very sad.

One friend was 67 years old did not know anything about tech (did not even have a computer). Had 85% of her networth in the Scudder Tech Fund. Lost 84% in 19 month. Another 10% in PBHG Tech Fund and lost 72% and the rest in that group of Colorado that went bankrupt can not remember their name Midcap Growth Fund and lost 91%.

She hit a home run - the wrong way.:shock::shock: She refinanced her house on the recommendation by Suze "Shrill" Orman (or whatever that hack name is) and bought tech stocks in April 2000.

Fortunately, I doubt seriously that Orman would go any where close to making any such recommendation. She is not that type of girl - rather conservative in her financial approach. This however would be a suggestion right up the alley of a young inexperienced male looking for a quick dollar.

The Dow futures were up 48 points this morning. The Nikkei 225 was up 197 points.

All other futures were also up - something is happening. Suspect you will make money today and you will only wish the rest of them bones were working. There is nothing wrong in buying on the way up - it's actually easier because you lock in the profit as you move up. Not to sound alarmist - but we might be looking at a runaway bull situation. That would be great from my perspective.
