I understand what you're saying. Here's my take on what I quoted.

My first statement is my words regarding a recollection of someone else's words. The request was for the actual words. I quoted the actual words here in a quote bubble.

The quote does, in fact, indicate the use of a second indicator: price "channels."

How does he use it with "channels?"

You can better buy when it is above 70 and sell below 30!

He even goes on the say how he configures the RSI.

And about what period you should use, the 14 and nothing else!

Ah, gotcha. It's just to me it still seems like only one indicator.

The problem with using multiple indicators is that some of them are using the same kind of information. If you are not careful you think you are getting confirmation from a separate source when it is only saying the same thing because it is looking at the same data. It's too easy to fool ourselves.
