I think CH is right and this weakness will be short lived, maybe another ~1%... through Friday?

We may be at a short term bottom, of course, as we near the 1200 cut off. I may still hug the sidelines through next week to let the tariffs issue shake out, we also enter some headwinds re. seasonality. One of the technical analysis vids, TheoTrade I think, expects a test of the lows 5-6 weeks out from when the low hit, which takes us into next week. Hmmmmmmmmm....

The FED speaks at 1pm, of course, after our 1200 cut off. Potential rate hike in store, possible down action; strength today so is the rate hike priced in? Still thinking we'll see a test of the lows, holding for now.

The Oscar Carboni vids are a hoot, he's all animated and jumping around... at any rate, he was saying when the FOMC meetings are on the calendar, best not to go near the market. Wait till after and see what happens, then decide what to do. With limited moves, stepping aside for these meetings may not always be convenient. The guy from The Right Side of the Chart makes a strong case that we may blow down past the Feb lows.

Darn Whipsaw, number 74 on the Autotracker. Whoda thunk a YTD gain of 1.05% would be doing that well this late in the year.

Congratulations on navigating these troubling waters!!! Now can I borrow that horseshoe so I can get back into positive territory?

Once bitten... being more proactive and deliberate in checking out market videos, trying to find a couple in agreement and moving appropriately. Odds are we have a buy in the next business day or two if/when we test the feb lows (I'm bummed you're out of trades). Yeah, #74, not been there in a while!

I'm still enjoying this little break I created for myself. Stepping away for a bit has helped me to re-focus. I'm okay with having to wait until April for my next move. Much of what is driving the market is news driven, tariff war, possible gov't shutdown due to budget veto, people leaving the President's team in droves...thinking maybe another week on the sidelines while this stuff washes out may be a good thing.

Low on the S&P was 2581.00 on 8 Feb, we're only 50ish away from that. On DWCPF low was 1285.08, also about 50ish away.
