    Say Birch:

Have you ever thought about sticking a fork in that I fund? I don't mean cashing out, but something else? C'mon...I mean you haven't done an IFT since a nuclear accident in Japan (OTOH I haven't done one since this morning).

I know anytime I say something bearish, the market takes off like a comet - so just trying to help ya out.

As I recall, in 2008 it took the full year for me to have losses equal to -$1M in my oceanic account. In 2014 it took only 6 weeks for me to collect losses of -$1M. This tells me one thing - I'm getting bigger. You don't collect losses if you don't own the assets - perhaps today I'll get some of it back. Today could be a close to a +$200K day - well maybe, I wouldn't be surprised. We have endured 15 of these consolidation type corrections since 2009 - so it's nothing unusual.

I decided to pick up a couple of stragglers this morning: MTG, CLF. Now I'll sit and watch. The retest a couple weeks from now may be the next problem - but then again we don't always have a retest.

Looking back to last week when the Dow was down 335 my oceanic gave up -$208K - now we're probably headed into a plus 300 point gain - hope to get all that -$208K back today.

I use to be like that jump out and it would take off the next day. Now I just let it ride I do rebalance once a quarter, but I’m sticking with the CSI combo for the long haul.

Here is a look at what my oceanic account did last week: -$116K, +$35K, +$30K, +$94K, +$50K for a gain of +$93K. I can surely use another week of positive gains. I may end up this year with a break even - that'll be fine. 2015 is another opportunity to scale the mountain. I seriously believe there is much more to gain.

A little note from my WSJ for the value shopper. "Of the 118 energy stocks in the Russell 2000 small stock index, three-quarters have fallen 30% or more. Of the 81 large and midsize energy stocks in the Russell 1000 index, 40% have fallen that much. Industrial stocks and others closely tied to economic growth also suffered. The concern is that such deep underlying damage could take time to repair and could affect the broader market." Well what of it. I'm now at 131 dividend increase announcements ytd - so keep them on track. There is no better time to buy then now.

I'm tape reading today and it looks delicious - we need a +200 point gain to freak the short sellers. So get ready for the last hour - it should be awsome fun. I said awhile back that the time would come when I'll be pushing $100K around either way - and that didn't take long. It's my new paradigm. " Markets are constantly in a state of uncertainty and flux and money is made by discounting the obvious and betting on the unexpected."
