I have about ten funds that I am invested in.
    Energy
    Health
    Wellesley
    Windsor
    Int explorer
    Equity
    Small cap
    Mid cap

It's all long term for retirement 17 years from now. But all but one moved up yesterday. Well two because the money in prime money market doesn't really go up or down.

but what amazes me is that yesterday the s fund took a small lose of .06% yet my vanguard account took a significant jump. Maybe a .5% increase. I can never figure out what moves the s fund. Stocks were mostly up yesterday.

    So what gives?

An article in TWSJ today about the individual investor coming back to mutual funds and ETFs - the Dow has surged 850 points in January, a 6.5% gain, marking its best start to a new year since 1989. "The retail investor is clearly a buyer".

Last night I thought I would be moving out of s fund today.

Today I feel like I should but will likely hold off at least one more day

Man I should get out before the fall next week.

Not moving out today. Can't do it.

    Several reasons.

    Two IFTs

Market is jumping big so far today

Right now 76 users have made a move. They have moved into s. they have moved g. They have moved f and everywhere else. Like scatter but we are in a rising wedge so looking for more upside due to investor confusion

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it til Monday.

Ive been putting today off for at least a week. I am 95.76% certain i will be out cob today. The only thing that will keep me in is either a 300-400 point up or down day. Then id have to remain.

HOPING for an even money day at this point.

I am just hoping to get out even today. At close to 7% I can sit in the G fund the rest of the year and make my goal.

Felt a bit nutty when I IFT'd and decided to follow a couple people ito the I fund. For 5%. Haha.

    So 75% G
    20% F, like I said I do,
and 5% I. I dunno bout this BT, JimmyJoe and Sniper but why not

Well, i feel like i did the right thing. Out at 6.98% for the year. I can sit in g fund and be beyond my expected goal.

goal being 8%. I know it isnt much but i can retire at 62 very comfortably with an annual rate of 8%.

Anything extra is gravy. So out on a day that gave me .25% and a month of 2.25%.

Re- entry is going to be a biotch. Especially if the melt up continues.

I dont want to feel good when i know a lot of people just took a beating. So far it looks like i did the right move at the right time.

Im still hoping for more down side through monday or tuesday then will try to get back into s fund.

i think tomorrow will be real interesting. Dip buyers either jump in or lots more people jump out.
