Taller (& Bquat), MaStA and I talked about setting a trailing stop yesterday, and our inability of our brokerage houses to allow us to set them. That meant that I had to be on the computer right at market open (6:30 AM my time) in order to pull the trigger when the stock started to fall. After the transaction was confirmed, I got right on this forum to check on how everyone else did. Hope you understand that there simply was not enough time in between seeing the stock begin to fall, and when I had to pull the trigger, to come over here and explain what I was going to do.

    Hope that helps,

    Thanks for clearing that up.

For those of us that trade as a hobby. Making the trade at the right time takes precedence over posting the trade. I think that should go w/out saying. Really no one should be following another members moves in lock-step so just knowing roughly when a trade is made or how the decision to trade is made, is very useful information. I know I post notice after my trade when time allows, so theoretically the same criticism could be levied toward me. Obviously if you are charging for your information the priorities need to change a bit as you have put more on the line by offering a product.

MJR, I think you gave ample information about how you were setting up your sell timing. Thanks for sharing.

There are over 1000 people on the AT, most post nothing about their moves. Thank you to everyone who posts information about the trades/moves they make.

When I was a newbie here I followed a handfull of members that were doing pretty good. If they made a trade I would more than likely do it also. What helped me make up my mind was not that they were making a trade but why. Sometimes you wouldn't see a post until 11:50. It wasn't because they did it but why they did it that helped we develope a sense on how to do it on my own. The why you did it, not because you did it still applies today to help educate the newbies.
May the force be with us.

If I may add. As a newbie on here, (I only have a TSP account). I try to take in all the information I can i.e media (tv and internet), Talk.com etc. It can all get overwhelming. Never knew understand a graph could be so hard. ha! I also like to monitor a lot of what you daily posters have to say, (very informative) and there are a few others who I watch when they put their IFT's in. Normally I have my idea made up of why I want to do it, (Learned that from a JTH post last year) just not always for sure when. My last deciding factor is watching a few others on here too, and if they make one then I put a lot of thought into also making one. Example, I would have got out a week or so earlier this month but their were a few on here riding it out, so I stayed. Worked pretty for me. Hope that's not riding to coat tails too much. You guys do pass a long a lot of informative stuff and thank you for that.

...probably the most important thing beside the why this year is "patience." That seems to be the hardest one!

I recommend that you NEVER entrust your money to ANYONE. No one cares more about your money than you do. These creeps only want one thing... to make a sale, so they can make a commission. Then they're only concern is looking for their next victim."

"Paragon Financial Limited has been compensated $50,000 by Conmar Capital Inc. for a one month advertising contract in an effort to build investor awareness for Stevia First Corp. (OTCBB: STVF) starting March 8, 2012. In addition, Paragon expects to receive future compensation for the continuation of the advertising contract for minimum of two additional months at $50,000 per month for a total of $150,000. Thereafter, Paragon will disclose any future compensation if such compensation occurs."

"The BedfordReport.com is owned by Paragon Financial Limited (hereafter referred to as “Paragon”). "

Very interesting. My report came unsolicited, in the snail mail. No mention in the disclosure statement of any indirect compensation. In fact, here was his exact disclosure:

"Though STVF fits to my investment models, I do not hold any stocks, options or other investment interests in STVF. My recommendation is strictly for my readers to act on as they choose."

    Thanks for the info!

Just took a look at how the S Fund is doing compared to the C Fund. As you can see from the graph below, S continues to lag C since mid February. This is not an indication of a strong market. I will remain in the C Fund until this graph shows an obvious change in direction (an up-sloping line), or my system gets me out of the market completely, and I go to the lily pad (G Fund).

    Good Luck!

Did anyone buy back in to STVF? I didn't. If you did, you've made over 18% so far today!

This is either a dead cat bounce, or it's heading back up to test the highs again.

    Any brave souls?

I think it scared me away from it lol. If I didn't have to pay $8.95 for each trade with USAA I probably would do more stock trading. I'm considering following J Trader's blog and giving the ETF, TNA, a try. It is up almost 2% today already...that is nuts! Obviously there is big risk with ETF's as well, but just like the market...if it goes down it probably will come back up eventually, but that doesn't seem to be the way you should play ETF's. Get in, make a few bucks, get out. lol. Then again I could be wrong as well.
