I suggest using unspent Stimulus money to fund the bill.

That way it will comply with PayGo, and everyone gets what they want with no additional deficit spending (on top and in addition to the Stimulus borrowing).

She worked hard every day for the year and a half or so that I knew her there before I left the Army. She gave me good information on the local things happening in town, and I learned a great deal from her about German life, values,...

During the Great Depression of the 1930's, Congress passed a set of rules for banks that stabilized the boom-bust cycles that had plagued this country for years. Those simple banking regulations worked. And worked well. The 1940's, 1950's 1960's were all years of generally improving financial conditions. It's almost a perfect crime, because once you do that, you...

In the bustle of day-to-day watching the markets, one needs to take the time now and then, and step back, and look at the big picture. Here's what I mean---

We just had one of the biggest swings in my market memory. We had months and months, and years and years, of outstanding gains.

Followed by a real "THUNK" down. All the way down to 666 on the S&P. Sometimes I wonder if God was just having fun with watching the S&P go to EXACTLY 666 before turning it around. ...
