Hi all,

Lurker long time, 1st time writing! I have a specific problem and was hoping to get some help! I made a web transfer today at 10:00am from 100% G to 90G/10C. As far as I am concern, it took because it showed my new allocation. I checked this evening and my darn account said I was still 100% G! I couldn't believe it, I haven't even gotten any tsp emails sent to me...it's like I never logged onto my account this morning. As this happened to anybody else? I was maneuvering for a 1 day pop in the C fund possibly due to good job numbers being posted tmw. Does tsp central have copies of my transactions, cuz I know I didn't cancel my transaction, but even if I accidently did, wouldn't this generate an email to me? Angry as hell either over my stupidity or TSP's incompetence!

Chances are it will show up in the morning, they went to bed already.

It can happen from time to time, it's happend to me before but I didn't have the documentation to prove it.

Hi Terry -

Check in the morning. The account information and transfers don't usually get updated until the next morning.

My e-mail confirmations for IFTs usually don't show up until after midnight EST or even the next day. You have to specifically request a confirmation e-mail every time. The new share alllocations won't show up until the Jan 7th account balance is available. I bet if you check again the date on your account balance sheet is Jan 6th. I don't know what time the stuff is updated, I rarely have time to check early in the morning.

Email conformations are not as regular as they used to be, for the last 6 months, seem to be getting later and later?

All,

Update- ok it was transacted on Thursday..although something was screwy cuz when I looked on Thur a.m. it was at 90/10, then on Thur night / Fri morn it was 100 G. I checked again on Fri morn ~10am and it was 90/10 again---totally aggrevating to me. I did mess up by not asking for an email, so that mystery was solved. So for all my troubles and (being benched for the rest of the month, >2 trades) I profited ~$80.00. I guess I should be happy, but I thought for sure the current administration would have "cooked" the numbers for friday to make the perception that the economy is coming back and everything is peaches and cream. I was licking my chops for a 1-2% pop, oh well, what's that saying about "the best laid plans...." Thanks all for responding and putting my fears to rest.
