    i'm new to this with 22 months left until i can start a new life and to build our dream house. i'm going out swinging (no plans to be conservative in tsp). i'm trying to find out how to determine ytd earnings %. any help

    Welcome antn7887, this is definately the place to come. Have you been reading here for a while or is this your first time here?

    Divide your gains year to date (minus contributions) by your starting sum as of 1/1/07.

    Example:

    Starting sum: $1000
    Gains: $35

    35 divided by 1000 = .035 or 3.5%



    If that doesn't work, then it just demonstrates what I have known for years... I am not really that good at math
