Default Roman Blind cost how much?

I just had to share this as I am total freaked out about it. What is this Country coming to?

Went with my wife to JC Penny to look at a Roman Blind for our kitchen window. It is not that big 55 inches wide and 35 inches tall.

They were having a 70% off sale. How much do ya think? $50, $100, $150, $200, how about $250. Are you freak'n kidding me? It is a freak'n piece of cloth with a damn string on it. Normal price is over $800!!!!!!! ARE YOU FREAK'N KIDDING ME!!!!!

I think I will have to try to build my own.

Look at jcpenny.com. They have some for under $20.00. Didn't find many around the $200 mark.

That's what the lady at Penny's told me after she helped me off the floor. Bali was the name brand of the expensive ones.

There's lots of DIY sites with directions for doing it yourself! But I think $20 would be cheaper, considering all things!
Seems like American Blind's are having a big sale, but I see I have already deleted their e-mail.

And have you tried Lowe's or HomeDepot?

Show-me, when I read the thread title my first thought was "visually challenged Italian" so thanks for the double chuckle.

This is ridiculous, you mean people have become so weak in mind and body that they could not figure it out on their own. You still can't fix stupid. Sorry for the kids, but the parenting is what is at fault.

Eight million blind and shades sold each year and they have 5 deaths since 2006. Thats 5 deaths out of 32 million blinds and shades sold.

We tie the strings up on our shades. We don't let our kid play with guns loaded or not. We don't let them drive. We don't let them play with rat poison, knifes, in plastic bags, in the street, on the roof, in a pool unattended.

Were is the parent liability? Thus my original question, what is this Country coming to?

Actually I think it is genetic but some manage to break the cycle.

We did not get the big snow storm I got 2 inches on the ground, just enough to satisfy the snow bugs.

I looked at the forcast this a.m. and we are going to get slammed with negative temps by the end of the week. Damn, I hate that. Going to stock up on some wood today after I get my last bit of drywall from town. I'm on vacation. Can ya tell?

I thought you were doing a lot of remodelling and home improvement projects here lately. Enjoy your time off and have fun.

Bummer on the cold weather though, I think ya'll will sending it our way over the weekend.

An early winter down south, forecast to be 28 degrees in the morning, but clear in Boiled Peanut! Usually our cold months are January and February down here, must be Climate Change? false%20teeth.gif

I had a couple of fires in early November, due to global warming.
