After rereading the TSPTalk TOS and reviewing recent posts, most are not aggregious violations, although many are off topic and skirt the edge of ruin via #3 of the '7 simple rules'.

This thread can be a place to blow off some steam, make that comment you think is particularly witty (but know deep down inside is borderline innappropriate), and -for lack of pie hole icons or sensitivity meters- nominate yourself or someone else for a voluntary timeout.

This is an exclusive club and meetings may be sporadic, but roll will be called. You will be issued a 'get out of jail free' id card to aid in identifying yourself as a member who suscribes to the theory of practicing self-restraint and displaying at least token respect to others you may disagree with. Due to privacy concerns only the last 4 digits of your 'member-since' number will be shown publicly.

Members who feel the need to post off-topic or antagonize in another's thread may also temporarily display a 'hoosegow' avatar as a warning to other readers that a brain fart or social faux paux is emminent. This can be accomplished by drawing a few vertical and horizontal lines across your regular avatar image using any simple paint program.

Basic membership requirements are only that you possess a thick skin and a sense of humor, although excess spare time is recommended. Due to privacy concerns only the last 4 digits of your 'member-since' number will be shown publicly. Membership number will follow the format of ####. The first two digits signify the calendar year in which you were joined. A 00 in this field indicates honorary member status or that a member has actually managed to get themselves banned. The final two digits signify the order in which you joined. The numbers 0001, 0002, and 0901 have already been issued.

birchtree 0001 and mcduck 0002 are on official leave, and burrocrat 0901 has to report for paid duty today, hence a quorum cannot be called, no official club business will be conducted during business hours today outside of confirming membership numbers and basic id card administration.

no need for a jailbreak, enjoy the free three hots and a cot, the bars have their purpose too.

Steady and Grandma get whatever number they want, no protocols involved.

Also, as we simple members are all here by grace only , moderators and administrators have complete freedom and total control, they may choose #11xx or anything else as seen fit, even pre-empting any prior issued numbers, beware they are also the judge and jury, rest assured you will be treated fairly.
