Yep, my mistake. That second one should have been LMBF-1 SIM.

The first one is based on I performing best last month, the last 3 are based on the relative performance of stock funds in prior month. What is the second one based on? If it is just sell in May and go away...when in May do you sell? Does that mean you go to G?

•LMBF-1 Changes from the F Fund to the I Fund
    •LMBF-1 SIM (sell in May).
•LMBF-1 C>S Changes from the F Fund to the I Fund
•LMBF-1 CI>S Changes from the F Fund to the S Fund
    •LMBF-1 G>F Changes from the F Fund to the I Fund[/QUOTE]

Looks like our S Fund is the big loser this month. So much for April being the 2nd best month for the market. Oh well, the question you have to ask yourself now is are you going to stick with the traditional LMBF/LMBF-1 or try ILoveTD's seasonal variant where you Sell-In-May and walk away. ILoveTD automatically has you in the F Fund from May through October and in LMBF the other months. I will track that here as LMBF-1SIM, but probably won't use it myself. It should be interesting to see the difference this summer.
Until Cactus explains it further if needed. But there is additional information near the beginning of this thread if interested in knowing more right away.

Here is the monthly return as of 5/30/18:

    Date G Fund F Fund C Fund S Fund I Fund
    30-May-18 0.24% 0.64% 3.09% 5.67% (1.71%)
The S Fund is the winner for May so the following IFTs take place before noon today, 31-May-18.

•LMBF-1 Changes from the I Fund to the S Fund
•LMBF-1 SIM Remains in the F Fund through October
•LMBF-1 C>S Changes from the I Fund to the S Fund
    •LMBF-1 CI>S Remains in the S Fund
•LMBF-1 G>F Changes from the I Fund to the S Fund

This month, unlike my usual one day late for the interfund transfer, I was actually a day early. Let's see what the S Fund does for us.

Here is the monthly return as of 6/28/18:

    Date G Fund F Fund C Fund S Fund I Fund
    28-Jun-18 0.22% (0.14%) 0.53% 0.85% (2.20%)

The S Fund is the winner for June so there are no IFTs this month. Everyone stays where they are at for another month. The S Fund may not have given us much for June but at least those in the S Fund won this one.

I wish June ended on the 20th we had a 4.20% for the month. The last 6 trading days knocked our legs from under us. Lets hope for a good day today so we can finish the month positive.
May the force be with us.

Was just about to let my fund ride in the S Fund until I looked this morning... after being up 3% for the month, it too 1.56% dump yesterday.. losing half it's gains. Now it looks like a move to the I Fund... I will check back later to see if there is a bounce back up... will have to make the IFT before COB today as I will be on the road next 2 days.

We've seen this before... maybe consider instead of one day before the end of month... a week before the end. heh

Right now the C Fund is in the lead with 3.8% for the month. It has one percent on the I Fund that comes in at 2.72% for the month. So far it doesn't look like the I Fund will pull into the lead today.

As for seasonality, August isn't a good month for stocks. The F Fund tends to perform better here. If you are interested in the I Fund, it does do well in September. Here are the Aug & Sep winner counts for the last 17 years:

    G F C S I
    Aug 2 6 1 5 3
    Sep 2 4 1 3 7

Great info... thanks... I use the S Fund in place of the C Fund as it usually has more volatility but the last few years it doesn't seem to. hmmm.. Think I will take this advice and go hide in F and relax.
