Default Get Rid of the "Crap" on Your PC

Helps you to easily get rid of the junk (or crap, as the programmers call it) programs that come installed on your PC. It's free but you can give a $5 donation to get future updates via email.

Hello Board computer experts, I am considering changing my browser from IE to Mozilla Firefox. Any thoughts on security and ease of use, etc.? Other suggestions?

Mozilla is far more secure than IE. The ease of use is good as well, but I'm not a heavy user of any web browser ( I use both IE and Mozilla as well as Netscape on my old computer).

The Government has ask that Mozilla be used as there are less sercurity issues compared to IE. Works for me.

I'm no expert, but I prefer Mozilla to IE, FWIW.

I was a Firefox user until I got my new computer last year. Vista and Firefox wouldn't play well together. I understand that issue has been fixed now though. So I probably ought to go back and see. Firefox is a more intuitive program than IE, IMO.

Interesting as my agency just "accidently" pushed IE 7 to us. Always on the cutting edge we are.

I say accidently because they usually push software changes to their test group only in case there are problems. But someone did an oops. The only thing that didn't work was the internal web page. Goes to show even IT has bad days.

My agency has started giving us the option to use IE, Mozilla or Firefox. It seems that GIS apps work better with Mozilla.

I think I'll pass on pcdecrapifier after reading pcworld's user reviews.
Most said it might be ok on new computers. I'm afraid it might
remove something that I'd rather keep. It's fairly easy to clean out
    undesirables manually anyway.

    Hey all..

I just converted to Firefox for my web browser and I like it..still getting use to it..I just redone my hard-drive because I caught the "Antivirus 360" via IE..So that's why I'm now using Mozzola

Question:..How do you clear the web browser history?..ya know..The drop down from the address bar is plumb full and I would like to clear it.

    TIA
