    Just playing with the numbers on tsp.gov's calculatorand wondering if the government's5% iscalculated in automatically?

    I'ma FERS employee if it matters.

    Yes. Use $10,000 for annual pay at 1% interest for 1 year and you get $1,004. So yes they figure the matching funds in automatically.
