Thread: Twitter

  1. #1

    Default Twitter

Twitter's IPO this morning has brought a lot of interest with it trading up about $20 from the IPO price of $26.

I get Facebook. People are on it's website all the time. There's ads, pictures, funny stiff, political stuff. You can page back etc., play poker, games, etc.

Twitter is more of a mystery to me. I understand there is a strong following and ads might work, but the whole concept of people sitting around reading tweets all day? I don't get it.

Of course I said the same thing about PC's in the 1980's. Why would anyone spend $1000 to balance their checkbooks.

Wish I could have got into the IPO. It went up to $50 and now trending down. Some people made some serious money today.
    Is today Saturday again?

OK, just went to twitter.com and it seems to have changed quite a bit since I last checked.

Yes, we put out tweets almost daily here on TSP Talk when new blogs are posted, but that's all automated so I am rarely on twitter myself. But I am now seeing something a little different than I remember. There's a little more to it. I'll be addicted by the weekend.

Only if you had a way in the trade...you had to know someone who knows someone. No open trading today.
